Christine Larson, writer/editor

"Don't wait for inspiration: You have to go after it with a club."--Jack London

I'm an award-winning writer, editor and author living in Sacramento. I often write about how money and the workplace shape our lives and choices. My work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, US News & World Report, More, Redbook, Parents and many other magazines. I've worked at Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Adweek, and been a contributing editor at Working Mother. I've also co-written two books: The award-winning This is How We Do It: The Working Mother's Manifesto (Hudson Street Press, 2006) with Carol Evans, and The Family CFO: A Business Plan for Love and Money (Rodale Press, January 2004) with Mary Claire Allvine.

As Joan Didion said, writing is the manual labor of the mind. I've found the heavy lifting's a whole lot easier when we writers work together. That's why I teach writing, get involved with writer's groups like ASJA, and help organize conference like East Meets West at Berkeley. Drop me a note to learn more about any of these!
